Local fans in Korea want them back in their country. They made it big in Japan

Back in Autumn 2007 when they released their debut album in Korea. Supernova had spent a long time of hiatus in Korea. But they made it big in Japan. Last September 209 when they released their debut single ‘Kimi Dake Wo Zutto’ and at the same day it was released, it entered the Oricon Singles Daily Chart and the succeeding singles, also ranked to the top 10. It was a unexpected result. In response, the members had a close relationship with their fans.

“We think our song is different in compared to other groups,” Supernova showed humility. They frequently shake hands with their fans and also direct contact.

After the debut in Japan, they prepared a step by step success into one big step. January 2008 when they performed as a guest to SG Wannabe’s concert in Japan and there were many good responses about them. Several major labels in Japan want to establish them an artist in Japan. But after some considerations, they made a deal with Universal Japan.

After gaining popularity in Japan, they felt a strong feeling. They said, It’s a feeling that we’re debuting again. After an average of 3 years in seeing Korean fans and one album. As we started in Japan, we also want to make a comeback. “If we do not have activities in Japan, probably we’re not existing.” They said.

They new album’s title track, ‘On the Days That I Miss You’ was made by the hit maker Brave Brothers. In addition to its strong sense of melody, it had an easy beat that increased its popularity. The goal of their comeback is to let the public know the presence of Supernova.

“We want to be more intimate to our fans in Korea.” They said.
Supernova will leave later this month in Japan to continue their activities there and to release their third studio album. They are going to tour Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.

Geonil, Sungje & Sungmo on Sukira Kiss the Radio

Monday, September 6, 2010 Sukira Kiss the Radio
Super Junior's Leeteuk and Eunhyuk
Guests: Zinger & Hyosung (Secret), Geonil, Sungje, Sungmo (Supernova)

Here are blurry screencaps - sorry but at the moment, please settle for these.

At the start of the program, ChoShinSung's Geonil, Sungje and Sungmo were seated at Leeteuk's side while Zinger & Hyosung of Secret were at Eunhyuk's side. The three from Supernova/ChoShinSung sang a bit from their comeback song - "On Days That I Missed You" and the song itself was later played on air - after of which, for some reason, they decided to mix the boys with the girls!

...as adela1991 explains...
ChoShinSung and Secret = ChoCret
(Altho I still prefer T-Nova HeHeHe)

Group picture after the program~

Supernova / ChoShinSung's group pic after Sukira Kiss

...and the very interesting picture *ahem* - okay okay Sungje fans please don't go berserk HaHa those who have watched the live stream probably noticed that they were sitting closely next to each other so this was kinda expected. I'm adding fuel into the fire aren't I? Chill down girls. :P

(I'm a Sungje -& Sungmo- biased fan too y'know, but I just LOLd and said "I SAW THAT" HaHaHa)

...and if any of you weren't too busy getting angry at the girls of Secret LOL, you might have noticed that there's something on Sungmo's left eye. While watching the live stream, I first thought that it was just too blurry but when he moved and changed seats, I could see it a bit more clearly - it's a patch over his left eye. We don't know yet why there is such but we're really worried that Sungmo's hurt again. (T_T) Hopefully we'll get word from them why Sungmo's left eye is all patched up.

Awesome guesting by Geonil, Sungje and Sungmo! More exposure for Supernova!

We missed Yoonhak, Kwangsoo and Jihyuk tho!
No word from Leader but K oppa was very tired after his nightly gym time and Jihyuk tweeted that he's watching a horror movie sometime that same evening. :D

A better quality vid will be uploaded by ForeverAsia's mod.
We'll share it once it's up. :D

Choshinsung is a weird name

Photobucket

After three years of absence in the local music country, Supernova made its comeback and they also met Wang Biho.

It’s the first time for the group Supernova to encounter Wang Biho. They attended their recording for KBS 2TV ‘Gag Concert.’

Wand Biho appeared in the last minute of Infinite last July. He said, “handsome, the songs are ok, good and with real variety. But Supernova are saints.” They were not ridiculed.

As Wang Biho appeared on stage, soon, he teased Supernova. “What is Choshinsung (Supernova)? A Chinese name?” He said, 'saying “Choshinsung” was out of the vocabulary.'

Wang Biho made his research and revealed one by one.”Korean Wave also benefitted because I watch a lot of artists. I did not realize that they entered the Oricon Chart, ranking 2,3,4 and their activities in Japan are great.” “Of course, they’re still not identified yet,” he jokingly said. “Supernova Forever” he shouted.

In the waiting room of Wang Biho, they had a friendly meeting. Wang Biho even encouraged them and said, “I want to meet them more often.” He had CDs signed and a heartwarming encounter had ended.

Supernova said, “the last seven months were difficult, even if we accomplished the 12 states in the country, we were completely unknown.” “There are things that makes us down but we’re old enough to talk about it,” They said. This is from Supernova Ph.

Added, We don’t want to give too much attention but only to give delightful time.” Wang Biho said.

Supernova will celebrate their first year anniversary in Japan and will release a DVD on 21st of September that includes their songs and movie that was released in Japan.
